At King Counseling, we believe that all forms of therapy should accomplish these 2 goals:

  1. Add healthy, productive behaviors into your daily routine

  2. Manage the difficult, painful, or uncomfortable areas of your life

There are many different approaches you can use to accomplish these 2 goals. You will find thousands of different strategies, techniques, and styles of therapy. However, we believe that no matter what therapeutic approach you want to use, accomplishing these 2 goals should always be the basic foundation of therapy.

Our Approach to Therapy:

Our approach uses concepts from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. At each appointment, we provide you with strategies to help you turn healthy behaviors into naturally occuring habits. At the same time, we will teach you how to manage the stressful/uncomfortable areas of your life. We want each client to know how to process and find solutions to the difficult problems of life instead of avoiding them. We believe that this approach is the most effective way to help our clients achieve long-term health and well-being.
